About meA little bit about who I am and what I do.
I started my career in saddle fitting back in 1981, working first for H.W. Poole and son in York. After my time there I had the pleasure of going on to work for many top saddlery shops such as W.H. Gidden and sons, Coleman Croft, Frogpool manor, and R and R Country. I spent some time on the shop floor gaining retail experience but most of my working life has been spent out in the field saddle fitting. I became a fully qualified Society of Master Saddlers fitter in May 2000 (I became an affiliated member in Sep 2009). I have been self-employed since 2007.

Today in the U.K. thanks to the growing number of European and cross breeds, horses and ponies can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Which as you can imagine makes my job all the more difficult. Thankfully in my 30 years as a fitter I have seen all shapes and sizes. I have also worked along side some of the top horse physios, chiropractors, and vets in the country. This experience gives me the confidence to ensure that both horse and rider are happy and fitted correctly.
What do I do next?

Simple, just give me a call and we’ll have a chat, I’ll ask you a few simple questions (size and weight etc) and find out what you require. Then if you would like to use my services (no pressure) we’ll make an appointment for me to come out and see you and your horse and take it from there.

N.b. if I am with a customer or if I’m driving I will not be able to answer the call so please leave a brief message and I’ll call you back at my next opportunity.
I look forward to hearing from you.
